Ben flew his first bird of prey, a kestrel, in 1971, and has been professionally involved in the sport for almost 30 years.
 He is based near Gloucester, where he runs The Falconry School, from where his company also supplies what is generally considered to be the best available range of falconry equipment.
As well as displays, he provides falconry experience days and courses, corporate entertainment and even bird control services using birds of prey and other methods.
