Mullenscote Gundogs

Learn to train your dog in a relaxed atmosphere with our gundog clinic. New puppy, disobedient dog, or just want to improve your handling skills? We train to educate and shape your dogs behaviour. Basic obedience, social skills and dominance problems, we will show you through our demonstrations how to over come these problems quickly and effectively. We have a wide range of training methods adaptable to individual training needs so come along and watch our demonstrations you will be amazed at what you can achieve with a little bit of help.

Gundogs

Gundogs are used to find/flush live game and then to retrieve game that has been shot.

Arena Demontrations can be both informative and fun and there is a chance to watch the dogs work with a falcon in a combined display.

As well as arena demonstrations theres a gundog clinic and gundog multi-scurry, where all are welcome to have a go or just to seek professional advice.

Trochry Gun Dogs

Breeders & Professional trainers of English Springer Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels & Labrador Retrievers.

Based in Oxfordshire, our kennels are devoted to the breeding, training and field trialing of working spaniels and retrievers which due to selective breeding programmes are by far the most popular working dogs used in the field today.

Our dogs are both trained and worked on the Blenheim Palace Estate shoots.  We appreciate that not all owners of gundogs get to see what is expected from our dogs on shooting days and our aim is to show our dogs at the Living Heritage Country Fairs in the simulated shooting environment demonstrating what is expected from a working gundog and the high standards of training that need to be achieved, also some of the basic techniques used in early training which also apply to dogs as pets.

For the more experienced Gundog - enter the Working Gundog Retriever Test & Scurry. A competitive event through a demanding course.

A course that will test your dogs skill, ability and endurance.

Fundog Show

Enter your dog into the Fun Dog Show. With classes for everything there is bound to be something that your dog can enter. Its free, its fun so come along and join in. With rosettes for the winners and qualification to the final you could be going home proud of your pet.

Lurchers

Lurchers are important to country life and are used for hunting and pest control. They have progressed into racing and showing at Game & Country Fairs.

The Coakham Bloodhounds

When the pack was first established, it hunted with pure bred bloodhounds. But it soon found that, whilst their ability to follow the scent was without compare, they lacked the speed across open countryside and the enthusiasm to cope with natural obstacles. The current pack consists of bloodhounds crossbred to the Dumfriesshire Foxhound, a unique out-cross which has developed the ability of the pack to follow a natural human scent with voice, speed, agility and drive.
