Make and Take

It's fun time for kids! Their chance to make a face and throw a pot without getting into trouble!

Children love the Make and Take stand were they can do a variety of activites and make something to take home and treasure. From paint a pot and sand art to making a necklace !

The pots supplied are already fired, so children can just decorate them to their own taste. Pots are decorated using vibrant colours. Tiles are provided too and they are air dried clay tiles 15 x15cm. The tiles are decorated using a variety of impress stanps and stencils and dry at home over 2 days, having been painted using acrylics or poster colours. The final step of varnishing uses a mixture of PVA glue (50%) and water (50%). The finished tiles can be framed

The can make necklaces as well using large ceramic beads which are decorated with vibrant acrylic markers. The beads are threaded together on brightly coloured elastic.

Children can learn how to throw a pot and then make a pot on the pottery wheel as well. A great favourite!

Other craft workshops include: sand art, card making and candle making.
