National Gamekeepers Charitable Trust

Sustainable wildlife

The National Gamekeepers Charitable Trust is at fairs to promote public awareness about the need for sustainable wildlife management in the UK's countryside. They explain the importance of conservation work carried out by gamekeepers.

Why is this work important?

49 out of 50 people say they have never met a gamekeeper!

Public knowledge of gamekeeping is very low and entirely dependent on what is reported by the media. We want to present the true facts about the profession. We particularly want the young to know what gamekeepers do.

What do we do?
In simple terms the National Gamekeepers' Charitable Trust provides resources for those people wishing to promote the awareness of the countryside to the public. These resources include:

  • An Education Officer who can advise on a wide range of educational matters and provide support when it is requested
  • A mobile exhibition which is growing in quality and diversity in order to meet a wide range of educational opportunities
  • Teams of keepers to man educational events

National Gamekeepers Charitable Trust will be appearing at the following shows:

Sandringham Game & Country Fair
Sep 08 to Sep 09, 2012

Sandringham, Sandringham Park, Sandringham, Norfolk, PE35 6EN

Forthcoming Events
