Simon Spindley

Big Sizzle has been created by Yorkshire-born Simon Spindley, who still lives in East Yorkshire today & who is passionate about local produce cooked well. He is keen to encourage more people to experience the joy of eating good quality, locally sourced, home cooked food. Simon is appearing in the country kitchen where he demonstrates some of the recipes he has developed.

Simon appeared on MasterChef in 2006 & his gutsy recipes & big flavours earned him a place in the Quarter Finals. He is always happiest when cooking for family, friends & his harshest critics – his wife & their two children.

Simon will be visiting events across the UK, including food fairs, game fairs & country shows to enable you to sample his speciality sausages, freshly barbequed on site. His signature “Thai Sausage” is based on Sai Grog an aromatic sausage from Northern Thailand which features thai spices & lime. This is delicious with chilli or plum sauce, but equally tasty with a good old brown sauce or ketchup! His “Country Sausage” is a subtle blend of lemon & herbs that appeals to all palates, and the Big Sizzle menu will feature exciting guest sausages throughout the season.
