Beale Park Craft and Country Show, Mar 06 to Mar 07, 2010
A beautiful setting for a popular Craft Show but now for those of you who wish to get out and about before early in the year. We are going to promote a joint event.and add the Andy Singleton Arena, trade stands and various other country show attractions.
Regulars will recognise these as major elements of our Country Fairs. They will combine with the regular spring Craft and Food Fair to bring you the best of both worlds in Craft and Country

Living Heritage hold a number of dog events and demonstrations at the Fairs, with something to interest every dog owner whether it be seeking advice, watching specialist demonstrations or entering your pet dog into the Fun Dog Show.
For the more competitive and professional there are pedigree Dog Shows, Lurcher Racing, Chase The Bunny (fun), Working Tests and The Gundog Multiscurry.

Horses have been a been a vital part of country life as a means of transportation and work force. They are still used today to work in the most dense and difficult conditions.
These demonstrations can be seen in the specialist arena. Other types of horse are used for competitions such as scurry racing and mounted games, which can be seen in the main arena.

Target Field Sports are traditionally associated with hunting and / or pest control, although nowadays most of these sports are simply done for fun.
At Living Heritage Game and Country Fairs all that attend are welcome to come have have a go at all of the target sports on offer. As well as beginners, those that are more experienced can enter the series of competitions. (see local press for details)

At our Country Fairs " Crafts " have always been present as a Craft Marquee, this has developed over the years to a Craft Village. This section of the Show has evolved to include specialist demonstrations such as Glass Blowing, Rural Skills, Blacksmiths, Chainsaw Carving and a potters wheel to name a few.

Within this picturesque setting is a 7 acre lake surrounded by 7 acres of open fields - ideal for a multitude of outdoor activities and events. Home to the Beale Park Thames Boat Show, corporate events, such as team building days and "It's a Knock Out" fun days, craft fairs and caravan rallies, the fields have staged a variety of events including classic car and horse shows and water festivals attracting more than 35,000 visitors. Set against a stunning backdrop of the River Thames, Beale Park enjoys a 1½ mile stretch of the Thames with a designated riverside setting available for functions. Those dreamy, lazy days of summer can be brought to life as the Park gives you the opportunity to make this section of the Thames yours for the day - whether it's a wedding at the waters' edge or a party for all to enjoy.

Beale park is conveniently located at Lower Basildon, 6 miles from Reading on the A329 between Pangbourne and Streatley.
Leave the M4 at J12 (Theale) and follow the brown tourist signs.
