The Hampshire Country Fair, Jun 03 to Jun 05, 2012
The country comes to Hampshire for the 17th year running in 2012. The fabulously entertaining and popular Hampshire Country Fair is held in the grounds of the Broadlands Estate near Romsey, over The Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend.
This is Living Heritage's longest running country fair and over the years it has seen many changes. This year is no exception with new attractions and new arena acts added to old favourites.
This all makes for a fantastic day out for all the family.
Open 10.00am - 6.00pm daily
Adults £11.00 Oaps £10.00 Children £4.00 under 5s free

The vibrancy of the The Falconry Village stands out. A multitude of native and worldwide Birds of Prey gathered together, just waiting for their chance to fly!
The Falconry Village has two aims; To give visitors the thrill of spectacular flying displays, creating memories to last a lifetime! To create a wonderful area where visitors meet the world of falconry, where they can enjoy and explore all aspects of falconry including health, welfare and legal issues.

Barking up the right tree!
The ever popular Dog Zone is fun, fast and furious! Every dog and every owner is sure to find something to join in with, watch and thoroughly enjoy.
Dog events are an important part of Living Heritage's fairs, so quite a few dog events and demonstrations are held at each Fair. Every dog and every owner should find something of interest, from simply seeking advice or watching specialist demonstrations, to entering a pet dog into the Fun Dog Show.
For more competitive dogs and owners, taking part in the pedigree dog shows or Lurcher racing or Chase the Bunny (pure fun) or working tests or the Gundog Multiscurry should fit the bill!

Exceptional tuition, competiton and 'Have a Go' sessions at every country fair. Target field sports are fun and waiting to be enjoyed!
Target Field Sports are traditionally associated with hunting and pest control, although nowadays, the sports are mostly done for fun.
At Living Heritage Game and Country Fairs, visitors are welcome to come have have a go at all of the target sports on the day. As well as beginners, the more experienced can enter a series of competitions. (see local press for details)

Throw a pot, make a face and have some fun!
Crafts have always been present at the fairs, originally as a small craft area, and has been built up over the years to include specialist demonstrations areas such as glassblowing, rural skills, Blacksmiths and chainsaw carving. Today, the craft area is a show within a show. An integral part of the fairs.

It's fun to learn

At the fairs children can experience first-hand for themselves, a variety of country life pursuits and skills with experts to guide them .

The Vintage Vehicle Section covers a wide variety of vintage vehicles and machinery. From classic cars and bikes to impressive Steam Engines, Tractors, Miniatures and Stationary Engines. All of which were great inventions of their time, well thought of and have been cherished and looked after by enthusiasts for generations.
Clubs and Associations display these wonderful vehicles and machinery at a number of local events.

One of the finest examples of mid-Georgian architecture in England, Broadlands stands serenely in a unique place in British history. Its distinguished owners and many of its important visitors have helped to shape the course of history.
It is a house with many royal and historic associations. Visitors cannot but marvel at its beauty, its superb interiors, its art treasures and its glorious setting on the banks of the River Test.

Broadlands is on the A3090 Romsey by-pass, ½ mile from Romsey town centre. The M27 motorway runs 3 miles from Broadlands providing excellent motorway and trunk road links in all directions - Central London is only 2 hours from Broadlands via the M3 and M27 motorways. Drivers should leave the M27 motorway at Junction 3 if approaching from the North and East, or Junction 2 if approaching from the West, and follow the signs to Broadlands.
